New Friends of the ARC
We are delighted to say that the Friends of the ARC scheme is now up and running! It has come about as a result of Trefoil Guilds asking for a Friends group, and that was very exciting. We are hoping that we will have an even wider membership, including individuals who want to support our amazing archive/museum work from both inside and outside the guiding community. There are many groups that have benefited from what we offer, especially as a result of the pandemic when we offered sessions to groups from all over the UK. You may have had a zoom session about the history of guiding and learning about traditions from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers. All sorts! Or you may have joined a virtual camp to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, V for Victory, or you may have told us about your Lockdown experiences, or have risen to the Cotton Reel challenge. The local community may be very proud to have an Accredited Museum on their doorstep!
